Our investment into eternity is summed up by everything we do whilst we are still alive on earth. This physical realm was sentenced to destruction a long time ago. Therefore, this realm is a platform to invest into eternity. Sadly, many are investing where moth and rust will consume. So then, what have you invested into eternity? Furthermore, how much of it have you invested? The importance of life is not just in living life, its about what you live for?

Oh! If we could view life at an eternity stand point, our priorities would change!

Here’s why its important to discover what you are supposed to do

1.There is a day of accountability

This is a subject that many are not comfortable with. Well, before you get scared wait! You see, every calling God has given is a platform for Him to reward you in eternity. You and I will stand before the judgement throne to give account of what we have done with our lives on earth. Will you be like the servant who hid his talent or the one who multiplied them? Matthew 25 vs 14- 30

2.Time

We are not guaranteed of extra time on earth. This life is too short to mess it up. Account for every hour that passes by. What have you done with it? Ephesians 5 vs 16 (Amplified translation) says, “Making the very most of your time [on earth, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence], because the days are [filled with] evil”. Let nobody despise your youth. Invest in the Kingdom especially during the time of your youth 1st Timothy4 vs 12 . Also, pay less attention to those things that won’t matter in eternity.

3. A fulfilled life

The main reason of increase of depression leading to suicide in the recent years is mainly because many don’t know where they are going. There’s a place in us that only Jesus can occupy. Nothing as well as no one can ever occupy that place. Isn’t it alarming how mental health victims are those who seem to have it all in life?

4.Have a clear path of destination.

The strategy to life is given to those who know their calling in God. Distractions in life will always come but when you know your purpose, you would know how to deal with each and every one of them that comes.

5. It is more than influence and fame.

Every entity in the Kingdom has its level. You are in no competition with anyone. Succeed in your calling. The idea of purpose and calling is becoming who God has called you to be. It has nothing to do with pleasing men. Your calling is from God therefore you have no business trying to create an impression among men. Your validation comes from God.

6. You are an epistle that many are reading

If someone is not reading scripture, they’re probably reading you 2nd Corinthians 3vs 3 . Most of what we do and everything we know, we’ve had to learn it from someone else. Therefore, be the reason why someone is inspired to be best version of who God called them to be. Your message to others can be the story of your life.

7. God expects you to

“You are My witnesses,” declares the LORD, “And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, And there will be none after Me.

As joint heirs to the Kingdom, there are things that God expects of us. Walking in His purpose for your life is one of them.

Our blessings are in the now but our rewards await us in eternity. Furthermore, our rewards are consistent with how far we have executed what is expected of us. Decide now to establish God’s purpose over your life and walk in it. Tomorrow might be too late.
