How to start over again and win this year

Yes, we all know our lives are partitioned into seasons and times. It almost seems the mark of each season or time surprises us. Am I right? We’ve all had those reflective moments in life where we’ve pondered if perhaps there’s a mistake we made or not, whether or not we can amend it, and the consequences that lie ahead. Sounds familiar? You are not alone in the journey of introspection!

Three months into the year, I can still safely say the year has just started. Despite the plans we’ve meticulously crafted for 2024, how did your kick-off? It might not be how you expected, but let me tell you that it is not too late to start over again! You can still hit the reset button. Precisely, you can start over again and succeed. Dont let fear cripple you. Within each day the Lord has granted you, you’ve been empowered to conquer!

How’s my year been so far?

Reflecting on my journey, I see that the past three months have posed challenges. Yet amidst the turmoil, I find solace in embracing these moments with the assurance of God’s Word. Yet in all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us Romans 8 vs 37. I used to wish I had a calendar from God revealing the onset and conclusion of a season in my life. A humorous thought, isn’t it?

At one point in my life, I didn’t know what to expect of each day. With life uncertainties, I thought to myself, it was high time to pray and ask the Lord for that calendar. He is the author and perfecter of our faith, and nothing is too hard for Him to do, I encouraged myself.

This is when my life took a pivotal moment. Yes, I did get the calendar.

Wait, stay with me…

1st Peter 1:13 ESV Therefore, preparing your minds for action and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ! This scripture echoed the wisdom and essence of readiness. The importance lies in preparing our minds for action, being vigilant, and anchoring our hope fully on the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Is your mind sober and ready for action, and where are your eyes set?

This revelation became a personal compass, instilling a profound sense of certainty amidst life’s challenges. We know that all things work for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8 vs 28). Be prepared at all times because victory is inevitable! If you know this, you will never be uncertain about anything.

How do I start over again?

1. Forget what lies behind you! As harsh as it may sound, it’s doable. Philippians 3:13-14 New International Version (NIV) But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
2. Start with Christ and press for the future.
